II Conference on Geological Heritage, the underwater geodiversity – Lanzarote and Chinijo Islands UNESCO Global Geopark

Lanzarote and Chinijo Islands UNESCO Global Geopark organizes the “II Conference on Geological Heritage, the underwater geodiversity”, to be held on October 21, 2016 in the Hall of the Cabildo of Lanzarote (18:00-21:00). Registration is free and will take place via email geoparque@cabildodelanzarote.com or by contacting the phone +0034928 810 100 (extensions 2230 and 2340).

This Confence is done as part of the collaborative activities between the Geopark, the Geological Survey of Spain (IGME), the University of La Laguna and the Cabildo of Tenerife. It highlight the following topics: ‘Introduction to the underwater geological heritage’, ‘Underwater ecosystems associated with gea’, ‘Paleoclimate and sea level oscillations in the Quaternary’ and ‘Lavas underwater’.

Although the activity is directed to the general public, is recommended for its content, those professionals of diving centers and clubs of underwater activities carried out its activity in the field of Geopark.
