X Seminar-Sobrarbe-Pirineos Geopark Turbidites: the deep seas of Sobrarbe-Pirineos

From 21 to 23 October 2016 will be held the XSeminar – Sobrarbe-Pirineos Geopark dedicated thisyear to one of the most abundant rocks in ourGeopark: “Turbidites: the deep seas of Sobrarbe-Pirineos”.

Lectures, field trips, all accompanied by great specialists in this theme to help us answerquestions and allow us to learn to recognize in the field characteristics of these rocks thatassemble much of the Sobrarbe-Pirineos landscape.

It is not just another seminar. The subject was long awaited by many friends of the Geopark.Also this year we commemorate the tenth anniversary as a Geopark and celebrate ourentry into UNESCO in the International Program of Geological Sciences and Geoparks.Sobrarbe therefore adds another label of the UNESCO, which joins the Biosphere Reserveand World Heritage. Few places in the world can say the same.

So we have much to celebrate. And we want uou yo fo with us. This new edition of theSeminar is an ideal opportunity, we hope.
