VIII Photo Contest 2016 Sobrarbe Geopark: “Mountains Sobrarbe Geopark”
We propose an open look at our mountains, regardless of altitude, according to their features, its architecture and what makes them unique in the Pyrenees.
Sobrarbe is a Geopark of mountains. And although distantly these seem a homogeneous sea of stones, in short distance every mountain shows its personality. According to the rock that composes the tectonic structure that deforms or relief showing on its slopes, every mountain and every peak tells us adifferent story. The theme of this year’s photographic competition is precisely this: the mountains of the Geopark. Regardless its altitude, according to their features, its architecture, what makes them unique in the Pyrenees, sure we will appreciate again that geology is the key to explaining the landscape around us.
