VII Photo Contest Sobrarbe Geopark: “Rivers of Sobrarbe”

The Sobrarbe Geopark announces the seventh edition of the Photo Contest Geopark, under the theme “Rivers of Sobrarbe Geopark“.

The Sobrarbe Geopark is crossed by a dense network of rivers. They run the region, as if treated arteries, eroding, transporting and depositing sediments. Their work, slow and steady, enables the drawing of some of the mostcelebrated landscapes. Fitted into the hard rocks or widening between the softer rocks, are responsible for many of our valleys. They jump into countless waterfalls and deposit gravels in ancient terraces.

We propose in this year’s contest open the eyes of our rivers and their effectson the rocks and landscapes. Knowing allow us to understand his work -notyet domesticated in many cases-, respect and value as a primary geologicalelement.

The deadline for submission of photographs will end on May 8th, 2015 at 03:00 p.m.
