Autumn tints of colours and lights Sobrarbe Geopark becoming irresistible to traverse all their natural, geological and cultural heritage with different eyes.

Sobrarbe Geopark program during this season the “Autumn Geological in Sobrarbe Geopark”, an activity in which we invite you to discover the geological history of this region through a talk given by the Speleological Association Cotiella and six geo

guided tours of the hand of a geologist. He will help us to translate messages that transmit rocks and to interpret the landscape along each one of these four paths that this program offers you.

The event is free and is aimed at the whole family, all those who are curious to know how our landscape has been formed, with no vertigo for a journey of millions of years during a morning touring some of the wonderful trails that make up the path network of Sobrarbe. We combine hiking and geology. “Geological Autumn in Sobrarbe” are a guided tours with a purely informative purpose. The explanations are interesting, curious and accessible to anyone, even without any prior notion of geology. The purpose of this activity and the design of these “geodνas” are specially designed to approach the world of geology to the general public, to explain why the landscape around us is as it is. Awaking the love of geology among participants and encouraging them to join the community of Friends of Sobrarbe Geopark.

To participate in Geodνas pre-registration is not necessary, just come at 9:30 pm to the Meeting Point set at each run. There the guide will be waiting for the group.

Important: wear shoes and appropriate clothing for the tour, food and water, because some outings are several hours of travel.

All outputs will be guided by Jorge Bajador, Graduated in Geology from the University of Zaragoza and Monitor Environmental Education. Sobrarbe Geopark has an exceptional geological heritage recognized by professionals around the world who visit it throughout the year. “Geological Autumn in Sobrarbe Geopark” is a good opportunity to raise awareness of the wonders that holds our Geopark. Sure after a Geodia you will see the scenery around you otherwise.
